Owned by Tatas Motors with the head office in Gaydon UK the operations managements have been forced to halt the production on the UKs favourite SUV including the new Land Rover Defender made in Slovakia and fifth generations Range Rover built in Solihull. Shortages have led to many issues with the current models hitting the road with optional extras being removed from the build sheet. Customer have vented their anger over important features that make the luxury offroad vehicle the very best in the world.

Vehicle sales have been suspended a number of times since Covid-19 hit the world but the knock on effects are seeing further problems such as the semiconductor shortage.

The demand for the Defender has been very high since it went on sale in 2019/2020 and production at the plant in Nitra Slovakia has again come to a halt meaning many customer will have their vehicle delivery dates cancelled of postponed for weeks if not months.
